SFC’s Homeless Well-Being and Family Well-Being Programs improve the health and stability of its surrounding community. The Center offers warm breakfasts and wholesome lunches through the Homeless Well-Being Program: Meal Service to provide access to nutritious food for its guests. SFC also ensures that parents have enough food to put on the table for their families by providing them with fresh, weekly groceries through the Family Well-Being Program: Pantry Service. To further promote health and stability for its guests, SFC’s programs offer nutrition education through workshops and cooking camps, and provide regular access to showers and health care. The Center’s resource specialist and new resource specialist assistant provide guests with Resource Services including referrals for health care services, shelter for families and individuals, and assistance obtaining IDs for jobs and social security. They also placed five guests in permanent, supportive housing last year. SFC provides access for youth to opportunities not typically available by their economic and geographic limitations through sports and the Youth Summer Camp Program. The Center also participates in advocacy campaigns that support efforts to promote stable living in the local community. Thank you so much for your support!
