Ileana is from Los Angeles, CA, where she has been living for a little over 30 years. Art has been her passion from a young age. She was born with a physical disability called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita, known as AMC, which causes joint contractures. Even though AMC limits her physical abilities to some extent, with art there aren’t any limits. Art has allowed her to use her creativity to all its capability.

Ileana has been designing for over 10 years. She graduated from Mount St. Mary’s in 2005 with a B.A. in Graphic Design. A few days before graduation, she landed a job with Below the Line and was their Art Director for about 3 years. In 2008, she left Below the Line to head back to her alma mater where she received an M.A. in Humanities with an emphasis in Creative Writing.

She is also a doodler and established her own notecard and doodling brand, illustrations.
